Ending this war is in the interest of our country. Whoever brings peace, be it Pakistan or anyone else, we just want peace.
Our role is important – Tharoor

May peace come, it does not matter who brings peace. If peace fails, we will have to play our role in the future. There should be peace in our region. We cannot afford to be passive, we have to be active. Sometimes this role is also of silence. We are doing a lot less in the region. Our 3 ministers have gone to that region and our role is important.
Why is Pakistan holding peace talks?
The Congress MP said that according to the relationship Pakistan has with Washington, only Pakistan can do this. Iran is a neighbor of Pakistan. There are 4 crore Shias in Pakistan. His involvement is of a different type. If America attacks more then those refugees will come to Pakistan only. Therefore, Pakistan’s stake is different on this issue. Our competition is different with Pakistan. Their realities are different, our realities are different.
What did Tharoor say about Mumbai attack?
He further said that on one issue, those people will become peacemakers, which has not happened yet, but it does not mean that whatever bad thing they have done, the evidence of which our country has presented in front of the world, only what happened in Mumbai, we have presented in front of the whole world a lot of evidence of that. Will it disappear? Absolutely not. If you want to become a peace ambassador in the future, then you should freeze the infrastructure, terrorist camps and accounts of terrorists. Arrest them. After doing all this we will think that there has really been some change in your mind.

Tharoor said that history keeps changing. Let Pakistan do it, it will be good if peace comes but it does not mean that we will forget Pakistan’s misdeeds.
