Trump rejects Iran’s proposal regarding Hormuz
According to Axios report, America has rejected Iran’s proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said, ‘Blockade is more effective than bombing. They (Iran) are being badly affected by this. The situation is going to get worse for them. Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons. Iran wants an agreement to end the blockade, but maintaining pressure is the main weapon.
US Central Command preparing to attack Iran
The report claims that if no agreement is reached between the two countries soon, the US Central Command may attack Iran. To find a solution to the blockage in talks between the two countries, the US Army is preparing to launch a massive attack on Iran. US Central Command is planning to target Iran’s infrastructure again. However, Trump has not ordered military action and has refused to discuss such plans.
In response to this, Iran has also warned America. According to the report of state press TV, the Iranian security source said that the American blockade will be responded to soon. He said that Iran has shown restraint in promoting diplomacy, but patience also has a limit.
Iran’s Foreign Minister calls S. Jaishankar
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi called his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar on Wednesday (29 April 2026) and discussed various aspects of the West Asia crisis. Two days after Araghchi’s visit to Moscow, he had a phone conversation with the Foreign Minister of India. Jaishankar said on social media, ‘This evening I received a call from Iran’s Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araghchi. We discussed various aspects of the current situation in detail. Both sides agreed to remain in touch.
