Ranbir and Alia’s wedding took place at their home ‘Vastu’ in Bandra, Mumbai. Only family and close friends attended this wedding, whose number was around 40 to 50. The most special thing was that both of them got married in the balcony of their house, which was a very special place for them. Another interesting thing came to light during the wedding that while in Hindu customs seven rounds are taken, this couple took only four rounds.
Story behind 4 rounds
Alia’s brother Rahul Bhatt told India Today, ‘Instead of seven rounds of marriage, there were only four rounds. I also performed the ritual which requires brothers. An old and special Pandit of the Kapoor family was present at the wedding, who explained the importance of each round, which was related to religion, children and many important aspects of life. This was a new experience for him and he himself was present during all four rounds.
How was Ranbir-Alia’s look?
Now talking about her look, Alia Bhatt wore ivory and gold shade saree instead of lehenga, which was designed by famous designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. This saree was very beautiful and elegant, on which intricate hand embroidery was done. Alia completed her bridal look with light makeup, kundan jewelery and open hair. Whereas Ranbir Kapoor adopted a classic and royal style with white sherwani and turban. Fans liked this simple and stylish look of both of them very much.
