Tamil Nadu News: of Tamil Nadu Virudhunagar A very sad incident has come to light from the district, where a person committed suicide after a dispute between a husband and wife over the government’s women’s rights fund. This incident has spread a wave of mourning in the entire area.

One of these is “Kalaignar Karunanidhi Mahila Adhikar Rashi Yojana”, under which women heads of families are given Rs 1,000 every month. This scheme is applicable from September 2023 and about 1.31 crore women of the state are taking benefits of it.
The government released the amount for three months at once
Keeping in mind the upcoming assembly elections and the code of conduct, the government released the amount for February, March and April together on 13 February. During this period, a total of Rs 5,000 (Rs 3,000 installment for three months and Rs 2,000 as summer special assistance) were deposited in the accounts of women.
Easwaran, a resident of Nedungulam area near Vathra residence in Virudhunagar district, lived with his wife Ramu. This Rs 5,000 was also deposited in Ramu’s account. It is alleged that Easwaran withdrew money from his wife’s ATM card and spent it without informing her. When Ramu came to know about this, there was a heated argument between the husband and wife. Angered, Ramu went to her parents’ home.
Hanged while being alone at home
Easwaran became deeply stressed due to his wife’s departure. During this time, when he was alone at home, he committed suicide by hanging himself. As soon as information about the incident was received, Coomapatti police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it to Virudhunagar District Government Hospital for post-mortem.
Police has started the investigation of the matter. This painful incident has once again forced one to think about how financial disputes and family tensions can prove fatal. There is deep sorrow and silence in the area regarding this incident.
