‘Made QR code with planning, hid shirt under sweater’, Delhi Police told how Congress planned to protest at AI Summit

While investigating the shirtless demonstration that took place in Bharat Mandapam during the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Delhi Police has termed it as a conspiracy. ACP Devesh Kumar Mahala has said that the protesters had come prepared by making QR codes in advance and entered inside by hiding the T-shirt under the sweater-jacket.

ACP Mahala told the media, ‘These people had obtained the QR code by registering online. He took entry by scanning the QR code. Were wearing sweater and jacket, due to which nothing could be seen from outside. Reaching the lobby of Hall No. 5, they took off sweaters and shirts, demonstrated by waving T-shirts and raised slogans.
