US President Donald Trump, while talking to the media at the White House on Saturday (April 25, 2026), gave information about the firing incident that took place during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He told that as soon as the incident happened, he and other big leaders were immediately taken out from there. Trump said the attacker had multiple weapons and fired from very close range. He said that this incident happened suddenly and the attacker involved was a dangerous person, who had come with the intention of attacking alone. According to Trump, the man had reached the security checkpoint and was trying to attack there.
Trump said that a security officer was also shot during the incident, but he was wearing a bulletproof jacket, due to which his life was saved. Trump told that he talked to that officer and he is fine now and his morale is also strong. Trump also said that the place where this program was taking place was not completely safe. He said that in future there should be a more secure place for such big programs. For this reason, he talked about building a new bigger and safer ballroom in the White House, which would be bulletproof and more secure.

The program will be organized within 30 days
Praising the security agencies, Trump said that the Secret Service and the police worked very quickly and brought the situation under control. Trump also said that the attacker was arrested and the investigating agencies are gathering more information about him.
Trump also mentioned the earlier attacks on him and said that this is not the first time such an incident has happened. He said that when a person is influential, he can become the target of such attacks. After this incident, Trump appealed to all the people to resolve their differences peacefully. He said that people of different ideologies can live together and this is the strength of democracy. In the end, Trump said that due to this incident the program remained incomplete, but he wants to organize it again. He said that this dinner will be held again within the next 30 days and this time it will be organized in a better and safer manner.
