US President and First Lady Melania Trump were on the stage when shots were fired at the dinner program on Saturday. The sound of gunshot created panic. People were seen running here and there.
Donald Trump posted on Truth Social giving information that the attacker has been caught and praised the Secret Service and law enforcement agencies for handling the situation. Trump wrote what an evening it was in Washington DC. The Secret Service and law enforcement agencies have done a wonderful job.
A new date will be decided soon – Donald Trump
Donald Trump further said in the post that I suggested that the show be allowed to continue, but I would completely follow the instructions of the law enforcement agencies. However, in a later update, Trump said he had spoken to officials overseeing the event and a new date would be set soon. Trump said that I have talked to all the representatives of the program and we will reschedule it within 30 days.
