Sandeepa Virk, trapped in a money laundering case of Rs 6 crore, expressed her pain, said – she had started praying for death.

Bollywood actress Sandeepa Virk has spent about 4 months in Tihar Jail. He was arrested in a case related to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Sandeepa, who was involved in this case of Rs 6 crore, had recently got bail. Now he has recently shared his experience of jail. She also told how she used to pray for death every day.

Sandeepa Virk’s spilled pain
Recently, Sandeepa Virk, while talking to Simran Jot Makkar, recalled her time spent in jail. The actress said, ‘Tihar is a place where I would not want to send even my worst enemy. When I first went there, I told God I didn’t deserve it. On the first day, when I went to the washroom, I thought that people say that everything is the result of karma, maybe I had committed some mistakes in my previous life, knowingly or unknowingly. I felt I was not worthy of this.

Sandeepa Virk also talked about her most painful moment when she was exhausted and said, ‘I used to pray that death would come and take me away. The worst feeling is when because of you your parents have to come to jail to meet you. I also apologized to him that he had to come there because of me. My parents and brothers and sisters stood by me because your own people know who you are.

He further said, ‘Inside Tihar, imagine living with 500 people, it is like domestic politics. My health had deteriorated very much. Due to stress I could not even stand without support. Even today, when I think about it, I cry, why did this happen to me?

He told, there is a lot of dirt in the washroom. Have to sleep on the ground. The barracks open at 6 am, close at 12 noon, then open at 3 pm and close by 6 pm. The food is very bad, same dal, same vegetables, four rotis and rice every day. Don’t feel like eating anything.

What is the whole matter?
Delhi High Court granted bail to Sandeepa Virk on 27 December 2025. The court said that she has already spent more than four months in jail and the main accused in this case, Amit Gupta, is still absconding, so the case is not expected to end soon. Sandeepa Virk is accused of taking money related to an investment scam in which around Rs 6 crore was invested by promising a person a lead role in a film.

ED says that this money was forwarded through their bank accounts and was used to purchase property or make transactions related to an alleged e-commerce platform. However, the court also observed that this case pertains to old transactions between 2008 and 2013. On this basis, he was granted bail under general legal rules.
