There is strong competition in both the flagships. However, in terms of camera, 17 Pro has won. In DxOMark’s camera test, 17 Pro has left S26 Ultra far behind.
This difference was visible in the initial test
DxOMark’s initial test showed a big difference in the cameras of both the flagship devices. iPhone 17 Pro has performed better in color balance, exposure consistency and video recording. Tests revealed that this device is capturing natural looking tones and maintaining stable lighting in different scenes. Apple’s software based image processing is being considered a major reason behind this result. Apart from this, 17 Pro also remained ahead in video recording. In tests, it delivered smooth stabilization and better and consistent color reproduction even in moving scenes.
How did the S26 Ultra perform in tests?
Samsung has greatly refined the camera of S26 Ultra and has also added a larger sensor to it, which allows more light to enter. Apart from this, the company has also changed the camera design to improve portrait photography. Despite all this it could not compete with the iPhone. Testing revealed that the S26 Ultra requires distance to focus on the subject, which makes it difficult to take close-up shots. The test also highlights the different philosophies of Samsung and Apple. While Apple puts more emphasis on image processing and software optimization, Samsung focuses more on hardware features like larger sensors and stronger zoom capabilities.
