Assembly elections will be held in Kerala on April 9, know when the results will come?

The Election Commission has announced the Kerala Assembly election dates on Sunday. Elections will be held in Kerala in one phase. Voting will be held here on April 9 and election results will be declared along with other states on May 4. The tenure of Kerala Assembly is ending on 23 May. The tenure of Puducherry Assembly is ending latest i.e. on 15th June. With the announcement of the dates, the code of conduct has been implemented in the state.

Apart from this, while giving information about the upcoming elections, the Election Commission said that a notification will be issued in Kerala on March 16. After this, nominations will be filed from March 23. Their scrutiny will be done on March 24. Withdrawal of nominations can be done till 26th March. Voting will take place in the entire state on April 9.

Voting will be held on 140 seats, so many voters will be able to cast their vote.

There are 14 districts in Kerala. There are a total of 140 assembly seats in these. There are 124 general seats and 14 seats reserved for SC. Apart from this, 02 seats are reserved for ST. There are a total of 2.70 crore voters in the state. Of these, 1.31 crore are male voters. There are 1.38 women voters. Of these, 4.25 lakh are first time voters. There are 45 lakh youth voters. There are around 2.5 lakh disabled voters. Apart from these, there are 2.4 lakh voters above 85 years of age.

The only state in the country where the Left government

Kerala is the only state in the entire country where the Left is in power. However, there has been a tradition of change of power here. But in 2021, the Left won power for the second consecutive time. LDF has 99 seats here. Whereas UDF has 41 seats. Also, others do not have a single seat in their account. Apart from these, LDF’s vote percentage was 45.4%, UDF’s vote percentage was 39.1% and others’ vote percentage was 15%. There are total 140 assembly seats here. To form the government, one has to get majority on 71 seats.
