Himayani Puri, daughter of Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, has moved the Delhi High Court to remove the news, posts and videos going against her on social media. He has appealed to the High Court that all the posts and videos posted against him on social media should be removed.
Actually, Himayani Puri’s name is being linked with notorious American sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein. In such a situation, false and baseless things are being spread about him on social media and many online platforms, which is damaging his image. For this reason he has filed a defamation case in the Delhi High Court.
Himayani Puri demanded from the court
In the petition, Himayani Puri has demanded from the court that an order should be given to immediately remove all such posts, news, videos and other material present on the internet. Along with this, he has also demanded a compensation of Rs 10 crore in this case.
He has also made many social media companies a party in this case. Puri has also demanded from the court that instructions should be given to social media platforms like X, Meta and Google that if such defamatory posts come to light in future, they should be removed immediately. Delhi High Court can hear the petition of Himayani Puri tomorrow on Tuesday (March 17, 2026).
What was the allegation made in the petition?
According to the petition, since February 22, 2026, allegations are being made on many social media accounts and platforms that Himayani Puri has direct or indirect business, financial or personal connections with Jeffrey Epstein or his crime network. It was also alleged that one of the companies he previously worked for, Real Partners LLC, was accused of receiving funding from Epstein or his associates.
