China: China’s economy has registered more growth than expected in the early months of 2026. According to official data, China’s GDP has grown by 5 percent between January and March as compared to last year.
According to the BBC report, economists had estimated the figure to be around 4.8 percent. This is the first time that China has released official GDP figures after reducing its annual economic growth target to 4.5 to 5 percent last month.
This sector contributes to China’s GDP growth
China’s GDP had registered an increase of 4.5 percent in the last quarter. This time there has been a surge in China’s GDP due to the manufacturing sector. On one hand, there is a decline in real estate investment in the economies of countries around the world, while on the other hand, in China, cars and other exports have played an important role in increasing the GDP growth.
In the future, China has promised to contribute to the investment sector in the economy by increasing innovation, high-tech industry and domestic spending. China is trying to reshape its economy. China believes that this is happening due to the crisis in real estate, decline in population and decline in consumption.
