US President Donald Trump has given a big statement regarding Iran and indicated that the current ceasefire cannot last long. He said that if no concrete agreement is reached by Wednesday, America can resume military action. Trump said in clear words that for the time being the pressure will continue and if necessary the bombing can be resumed.

Iran agreed to open Hormuz Strait
Trump claimed that Iran has agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, an important global shipping route. Speaking at an event at Turning Point USA in Arizona, he said the strait is now fully open and ready for trade. This statement has come at a time when this region remains one of the most sensitive energy corridors in the world.

“If there is no deal, military pressure will continue”
Trump made it clear that American military pressure will continue until the final agreement with Iran is signed. He said that the naval blockade against Iran will remain in full force. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said, “I may not extend it further, but the blockade on Iran will continue. And unfortunately we may have to start dropping bombs again.”

Plan to bring back ‘nuclear dust’
In his speech, Trump also mentioned a controversial plan to bring debris left from previous US attacks in Iran, which he called “nuclear dust”, back to the US. For this he proposed a joint excavation campaign.

Claim of regional diplomacy, credit for ceasefire
Linking these incidents to broader regional diplomacy, Trump claimed that America’s efforts have reduced tensions in the region. He described the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon as historic and said that such an agreement had not happened in the last 78 years.

Expressed gratitude to many countries including Pakistan
Trump thanked Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait for their cooperation in this process. He said that these countries have played an important role in bringing stability in the region.

Sharp attack on European allies
In his speech, Trump strongly criticized Europe’s allies and said that America should rely less on traditional partnerships. Referring to NATO, he said that this organization proved useless in times of need.
