Weather Updates: Warning of stormy rain in 15 states amid 44 degree mercury, know the weather of the country including UP-Delhi, Bihar

The heat has started wreaking havoc since April. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of storm along with stormy rain in 15 states. Rain alert has been issued in all the northeastern states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, a warning has also been issued regarding heat wave with severe heat in Western Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha as well as Chhattisgarh, Eastern UP, Eastern Rajasthan, Eastern Madhya Pradesh.

The maximum temperature in Delhi today (Monday, April 20) is likely to be 39 degrees to 41 degrees Celsius and the minimum to be 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. At most places the minimum temperature will remain near normal. Winds can blow at a speed of 15 km per hour in the morning. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any significant change in the weather on April 21.

IMD has issued a heat wave alert in Varanasi, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Jaunpur, Deoria, Gorakhpur of eastern Uttar Pradesh on April 20 and 21. In cities including Prayagraj, Varanasi, Sultanpur, Agra, Barabanki, Bahraich, Shahjahanpur and Hardoi, temperatures are being recorded much above normal, which is the beginning of heat wave.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 44.6 degrees Celsius in Prayagraj, UP, 44.2 degrees Celsius in Varanasi and 43.6 degrees Celsius in Banda. The temperature in many other districts including Sultanpur, Barabanki and Bahraich is also above 42 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Center located in Lucknow, the temperature is increasing due to dry western winds.

How will the weather be in Bihar?
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a storm with strong winds in Bihar on April 23. According to scientists, there will be scorching sun in the afternoon and there is a possibility of hot winds, due to which the risk of heatstroke may increase. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for the eastern parts of Bihar, especially the areas of Seemanchal.

The weather may remain dry in Himachal Pradesh from 20 to 25 April. According to Shimla Meteorological Department, a new western disturbance may affect the Himalayan region from April 23. Rain is expected in central and high hills on April 20, April 24 and April 25.

Weather of Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh
There is a possibility of lightning in Andhra Pradesh from 20 to 23 April and in Telangana and Karnataka from 20 to 22 April. There is a possibility of isolated light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds over Kerala and Mahe between April 20-23 and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on April 22 and 23.
