President Draupadi Murmu’s address in the budget session of Parliament, said- ‘India is progressing in every field’

President Draupadi Murmu is delivering the address at the beginning of the budget session of Parliament on 28 January 2026. He said, ‘India is progressing in every field. Freedom is incomplete unless a self-reliant life is lived. The economic condition of the country has become very strong in the last 11 years. Has maintained a record of keeping inflation rate low. The middle class and the poor have directly benefited from this.

Terror will soon be eliminated from the country

On Operation Sindoor, President Draupadi Murmu said, ‘I have seen the bravery and valor of the Indian Army. The terrorists’ base was destroyed. The response to future terrorist attacks will be firm and decisive. Indus Water Agreement is also a part of this. Regarding Maoists, President Murmu said that decisive action has also been taken against Maoist terrorists. Today it has reduced from 126 to 8 districts. Only 3 districts are seriously affected. More than 2 thousand Maoists have surrendered. The day is not far when terror will be completely eliminated from the country.

The aim of the Government of India is to develop the country

President Draupadi Murmu said, ‘India is progressing rapidly in the solar power sector. 20 lakh solar systems have been installed, due to which electricity production has increased in the homes of lakhs of families. In the last 11 years, more than 7,200 highways have been built in the North East. More than Rs 80 thousand crore has been invested in the development of railways. This decade has been a decisive decade for security for the North-East. More than 20,000 villages in tribal areas are being connected with development. Scholarship worth Rs 42,000 crore has been given to SC caste students. My government considers a happy farmer as the goal of a developed India.

Food processing capacity increased by 20 percent

President Murmu said, ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi was started, through which Rs 4 lakh crore has been sent so far. The production of oil seed crops has also increased in the country. Animal husbandry, fisheries and beekeeping are also being added. A new policy has been made to provide benefits to fishermen. There has been an increase of 105 percent in fisheries as compared to 2014. Food processing capacity in the country has increased by 20 percent.

Special schemes made for women

President Murmu said, ‘The development of the country is possible only by giving equal rights to all the countrymen. My government has made special schemes for women. 10 women have been linked to self-help groups. A target has been set to connect 3 crore women, out of which more than 60 lakh women have become Lakhpati Didi. Drone Didi is also progressing rapidly.
