Politics in the country has heated up over the performance of Youth Congress at the ongoing India AI Impact Summit 2026 in Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party accused Congress of tarnishing the image of India. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh posted on Twitter, saying, ‘When the whole world was watching India hosting the AI Impact Summit, then instead of increasing the honor of the country, Congress chose the path of creating disruption in the event.’
The Defense Minister said, ‘The shameful manner in which the Youth Congress workers have created a ruckus by behaving inappropriately at the venue is not only unfortunate, but is also an attempt to tarnish India’s reputation at the international level. I condemn this act of the Congress.’
India’s respect has fallen at the international level: Rajnath Singh
He said, ‘Whenever India moves forward on the global stage, Congress seems to give priority to taking political advantage instead of standing with the national interest. It is extremely sad to put party politics above the prestige and honor of the country. The people of India understand very well who is engaged in making India strong and capable and who repeatedly tries to tarnish India’s image.

Living example of Congress’s arrogance: Piyush Goyal
Union Minister Piyush Goyal also targeted Congress on this issue. He said, ‘This is a living example of the arrogance and frustration of the Congress. Rahul Gandhi’s way of targeting the government is to insult India. Rahul Gandhi wants to stop India’s development by spreading lies about the recent trade deal, while his workers are protesting without shirts at the AI Summit to embarrass 140 crore Indians globally.
