Who is responsible for the defeat of Congress in Bengal elections? Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary revealed the secret

West Bengal Exit Polls 2026: The exit polls, which came after record voting in both the phases of West Bengal Assembly elections, have made the political contest more interesting. In the exit poll released on March 29, a close contest has been predicted between Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party. Four out of six exit polls have predicted the BJP coming to power, while two surveys have predicted the return of TMC.

issue of division of opposition votes

Congress candidate from Baharampur, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said that there is an anti-incumbency wave in the state, but it is divided among different opposition parties. According to him, this vote is going somewhere to BJP, somewhere to Congress, CPI(M), ISF or other parties, due to which it has become difficult to predict the results.

Questions on credibility of exit polls

AIUDF leader Rafiqul Islam refused to accept the exit poll as completely accurate and said that the real results will have to wait till the 4th. He also said that in his opinion the return of “Didi” i.e. Mamata Banerjee is possible in Bengal.

BJP candidate from Siliguri, Shankar Ghosh appealed to the workers to exercise patience and wait for the results. He said that now is not the time to celebrate, but it is time to be cautious.

At the same time, Madhya Pradesh government minister Vishwas Sarang and BJP MP Dinesh Sharma claimed that NDA is getting an edge under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi across the country and the actual results can be even better than the exit polls. Exit polls have made the contest very exciting, but all political parties are waiting for the final results, which will give a completely clear picture on May 4.
