The Dubai Media Office said in a post on Twitter that authorities had confirmed that a drone had been intercepted. Its debris hit the exterior of Burj Arab, causing a small fire. However, it is fortunate that there is no news of anyone being injured or killed in the incident. The fire has been brought under control.
The statement further said that civil defense teams took immediate action and brought the incident under control. The Burj Al-Arab Hotel has established itself as the identity of Dubai. It is also called the world’s first seven-star hotel.
