‘Will not leave any successor to Khamenei’, Israel threatens Iran; Two officers died in Kuwait

It has been more than a week since the ongoing war in the Middle East. While America and Israel are continuously attacking Iran, Tehran is targeting Gulf countries in response. Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian had announced that Iran will no longer attack any neighboring country, unless the attack on Iran is carried out from the soil of that country. Iran also attacked Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Jordan with missiles and drones on Sunday (8 March 2026).

On the night of Saturday (7 March 2026), the US and Israeli forces launched a massive attack on the oil depots and energy infrastructure considered the lifeline of Iran. According to the report of Iran’s government news agency IRNA, Shahran oil depot located in south Tehran and north-western area was targeted. In the video going viral on social media, large balls of fire and black clouds of smoke can be clearly seen in the sky of Tehran.

The Israeli army has taken responsibility for this attack. The IDF claimed that they had targeted energy reserves that were being used by the Iranian military. This attack happened at a time when US President Donald Trump had said earlier in the day that the biggest ever attack would be launched on Iran.

US President Donald Trump said that despite the ongoing war with Iran, he is not worried about rising fuel prices. There is ample supply in global oil markets and any surge in prices would be temporary. Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump described the conflict as a short-term campaign and dismissed concerns about its economic impact. Trump said, ‘I am not worried about oil prices right now. At the same time, Trump described the military operation as a long pending intervention.
